Rotary Winchcombe Walks

Rotary has a selection of circular walks of differing length and difficulty that all start and finish in Winchcombe giving any group of people an opportunity to raise funds for a charity or cause of their choosing.

Any Charity or Fundraising or fundraising group is welcome to enter a team of any size and to raise sponsorship to benefit their cause. Rotary@Kingsholm will charge a nominal entry fee of £10 per participant to cover our costs and to contribute to our own Charitable giving.
Winchcombe has been selected as the central location because there is very good car parking close to the centre, good walking in the immediate vicinity and, most importantly, a good venue where walkers can congregate after the event.
Each walk will have Rotary leaders to act as guides and first aiders and there will be Rotary drivers on hand to lend assistance should it become necessary.'What We Do' Main Pages:
Longfield Hospice provides end of life support at home to reduce the demand on NHS beds. Recognising how It is vital that the hospice continues its work to help vulnerable people in need, we were happy to make a donation to their funds.

The aim of the Community Awards programme is to support organisations within the city area with a small grant which ‘will make a real difference’. This is a small grants programme with awards of up to a maximum of £500.

Rotary@Kingsholm has discovered that Gloucester City as only 3 accessible defibrillators. This is the lowest number in the country. A new defibrillator costs about £2200. Our aim during the next 12 months is to raise enough money to double that number.
