The final of the Rotary & Great Britain Young Musician competition - Scotland & NE England region - was held in The High School of Glasgow on Sunday 17th March. Fifteen competitors competed for the prizes of Instrumental and Vocal winner. The instrumental category was won by Ben Finlayson (Alto Saxophone), sponsored by RC Strathaven; the vocal winner was Euan McDonald, sponsored by RC Gourock. DG Jim Ross presented the trophies.
The adjudicators, Graham Dickie, Sarah Stuart and Paul Wood all spoke highly of the standard of performance and musicianship displayed by all competitors.
The winners will now to proceed to the national final in Chelmsford on Sunday 4th May.
