Wed, Sep 25th 2019 at 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Our speaker this evening was the Mayor of Richmond upon Thames, Cllr. Nancy Baldwin, who gave us a job talk and told us about her chosen charities.

'Mayor of Richmond Cllr. Nancy Baldwin attended our meeting this evening. After the meal she gave an informal, fun and illuminating ‘job talk’ to 22 members and friends, followed by questions and answers.

Club President Seni Kamikamica gave a vote of thanks, mentioning that, just like our Mayors, the 35 -year-old Kew Rotary Club continues to carry out ’Service Above Self’ in the community at large whenever it can.

She presented a cheque for £200 towards the Mayor’s charities - Homestart and Otakar Kraus Music Trust. Chairman of the evening, Richard Ward presented her with a pumpkin as a thank-you from the Club!

Chairman of Kew Cricket Club, Peter Berg, (photo, right) was also presented with a cheque, for £300 towards the Club’s ECB Clubmark accreditation scheme training for juniors.
