The 33rd Rainhill Rotary Charter Night was held at The Mansion House in St.Helens. Members and guests celebrated the year in office of out-going President Tony Lewis and enjoyed a 3-course meal, courtesy of Chalkies catering services.

Following the formal introduction of Rotarian guests, Tony delivered detailed highlights of his presidential year, thanking his Committees and colleagues for the committment to the Dragons Den, the Beer Festival, Kids Out and the Taylor Park Fun Day hosted in conjunction with St.Helens Council.

Tony also presented awards to several members who had completed 25 years with Rainhill Rotary.

Our guest speaker for the evening was John Carr, accompanied by his wife Lucy, who related his exciting journey through his military career in helicopters leading to his role in the National Police Air Service.

A tombola event was held on the night which raised £330 to be donated to the Neuromuscular Centre in Winsford, Cheshire.

Thanks to all our guests who joined us to celebrate the 33rd Charter Night.
