ROTARY TREE PLANTING CHALLENGE

Rotary International challenged every club throughout the world to plant one tree for each Rotarian in commemoration of Earth Day in April. Here in Great Harwood and Rishton we have planed 30 trees in the grounds of the local NHS Centre

The Trees consist of Rowan, Cherry and Silver Birch and came from the Woodland Trust Community Planting Fund.

Advice on planting was given by the local Prospects Foundation and the Lancashire Police Volunteer Cadets helped Rotarians with the planting.

The display sign was made locally using sustainable materials.
