Club Meeting — Board Minutes

Tue, Dec 3rd 2019 at 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The Secretary read the minutes of the November Board Meeting.

Senior Vice-President Derek Hall welcomed thirteen other members and two guests, Sue Brannan of Alzheimer Scotland (Helensburgh) and Colonel John Kelly.

He presented Sue with a cheque for £650, the proceeds of the recent Ellie's Cellar Wine Tasting in the Commodore Hotel, organised by Bill Jones and the Community Service committee, and said: "This could not go to a better cause."

Sue, who organises the Helensburgh volunteers, replied: "Your very kind donation will be used locally to help make sure that no-one who suffers from dementia does so alone."

Mike Jane reported that last Wednesday's Young Musician competition in partnership with the Garelochside club and held at Lomond School was very successful, with a talented bassoon player being the top instrumentalist. Reay Mackay added that the top vocalists had been invited to perform with the choir at St Michael and All Angels Scottish Episcopal Church.

The weekly raffle for a whisky miniature was won by Mike Jane.
