Youth Chess Competition 2019

On Saturday the 15th of June twenty-eight primary school children from eight local schools gathered at St Teresa's Catholic School for a fun chess competition, sponsored and organised by The Rotary Club of Princes Risborough.

The event went well and the children all had fun and enjoyed themselves.The presentation of prizes was carried out by Mr Richard Stevenson, the President of The Rotary Club of Princes Risborough

.The winner was Tommy Rayfield of St Andrew’s Primary School Chinnor and he received a cup. The runner up was Toby Lacey of Hughenden Primary School and he received a shield. All the children taking part received a Certificate of Merit.Thanks must go to three non-Rotarians, Mr Brian Lacey, his grandson Taylor and Mr Mike Turton who all helped enormously with the event.
