President Peter invites Rotarians and guests to the 74th Charter Anniversary Dinner of Rotary Liverpool South (Previously known as Rotary Club of Liverpool Garston / Rotary Club of Garston).


President Peter and the members of Rotary Liverpool South invite Rotarians and Guests to the Club's 74th Charter Night on Monday 21st of October.

Time:

1830 for 1900.

Venue:

Childwall Golf Club, Naylors Lane, Liverpool, L27 2YA.

Dress Code:

Informal ie not black tie. This is a variation from our norm as there won’t be any other speeches, roll call of clubs etc. We are saving all these up for next year, our 75th which will be celebrated fully.

Menu:

Three course meal as follows –

Cream of vegetable soup served with a warm bread roll; pan fried corn fed chicken, accompanied by parmentier potatoes and roasted root vegetables; fresh fruit salad served with fresh cream, coffee and tea.

Alternative dietary requirements by pre-order only please.

Cost:

£ 21.00 per head. 

As places will be limited to a maximum of 100, payment prior to the dinner is advisable otherwise attendance cannot be guaranteed.

Our speaker for the evening: 

Our speaker is Rob Pope. An emergency veterinarian by night and runner by day. He became Australian Marathon Champion in 2015, won the Liverpool Rock 'n' Roll Marathon in 2015 and 2016 where he ran a personal best of 2:27:13. 

He holds a Guinness World Records for the fastest marathon completed while dressed as a film character. He is also the first person ever to run across the USA four times in one year and has run over 15,000 miles so far on his incredible adventure for which he is raising money and awareness for the World Wildlife Fund and Peace Direct.
