Camel Challenge Cross Country Fun Run

Sunday 13th October 2019

Wadebridge Rotary Club are again organising the Camel Challenge, a Cross Country Run for children in Years 3 and above.  All adults and children will be able to run up to 4 miles.  There are shorter options for any entrants not wishing/able to run that far.  The course will be entirely on the Pencarrow Estate with no road crossings.  Launceston Police Cadets will provide radio links to all checkpoints..

The run will start and finish at Pencarrow House.  Refreshments will be on sale.  All persons that finish the event will receive a Medal.  Please note that this is a Fun Run.  No prizes for coming first, no times will be recorded.  It’s just for fun (more like an adventure for the younger children).

Year 3 will start at 1100, Year 4 at 1105, Year 5 at 1110, Year 6 at 1120, Years 7 at 1125, Year 8 and above at 1130, adults at 1140.  All entrants should be at Pencarrow House at least 45 minutes before these times.  Please use the back entrance to Pencarrow House (Signposted Camel Challenge from the A389).  Please wait by the Tearoom at Pencarrow House as opposed to getting cold at the start line.  No races will start until someone has run around the course.

If any children, parents or teachers wish to enter the event, then please complete the details below, enclose the £3 entry fee (cheques made payable to Wadebridge Rotary Club Charity Account) and hand the form to the School Office by Tuesday 1st October 2013.  Alternatively post the form and entry money to Camel Challenge, C/o Wadebridge School, Gonvena Hill, Wadebridge PL27 6BU   Cheques will not be cashed until after the Fun Run has taken place because it will have to be cancelled if there is bad weather.  Wadebridge Rotary Club will list all entrants on their website so that you know that your entry has been received (please tell us if you are not happy with this).  Or E Mail the form to me and send entry fee by BACS to 30-98-98  00002886 (no refunds)

Entries are limited due to a shortage of parking.  Unlimited room for 4 x 4 vehicles.
