Out meeting to Nobregas Tapas

Mon, Nov 18th 2019 at 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

End of Bath Place (was Dragon Book Shop/ Castle Bridge News)

After multiple pleas for a response, we finally tied down 20 members to meet at Tapas Nobregas for a social evening. Portugese, rather than Spanish flavours were dominant, and being packed in like sardines in one room led to a greater intimacy!

Colin Barrel had done a great job to negotiate a variety of dishes to sample, ranging from patates brava to bacalhau (salt cod) and chicken in multi sauces and tender beef strips. Crayfish in a spicy sauce reminded us of Nykvarn’s crayfish festival but without the schnapps. There was a plentiful supply of everything and it was an enjoyable meal. Good company. Obrigado!! Boa noite.

On 16th DECEMBER at Oake, is our Christmas Do. Dress – Smart but not DJs; wives, partners, friends are invited, and a board will be passed around to get numbers for catering. Please let R Austin know asap if you intend to come plus another.
