Annual Poppy Collection in local store the week leading up to remembrance day

RBL Poppy Collection

Each year in the United Kingdom, The Royal British Legion sell plastic poppies to raise funds for ex-servicemen and women leading up to Armistice Day on 11th November. Due to an ageing membership within the British Legion, members of Rotary District 1220 have taken this collection appeal over. 16 volunteers connected to Hucknall Rotary Club gave 48 voluntary hours and collected £1,700.00 in the Hucknall area (Nottingham, England)

To celebrate the start of the Festive season Hucknall holds a Christmas Festival. The event is supported by Hucknall Rotary in partnership with Ashfield District Council.
