From an idea in 2000 by the Rotary Club of Helston-Lizard, Cornwall, the idea of shelterbox grew helping 2.5 million people by 2022.        

Shelterbox customise the contents of each kit to best meet the needs of the communities they help.

more Rotary International has been working since 1988 to eradicate polio worldwide. In 1988 the disease was endemic in 69 countries and there were over 300,000 cases a year. By 2018 polio was still endemic in just 2 countries and there were just 8 cases.
