Hucknall Rotary Club, has a long-sustained connection to “The Thursday Club” which is based in Hucknall. The Thursday Club was established around 25 years ago to support local children with special needs and learning difficulties and their parents/carers. Over the years, this evolved because service users continued to attend the weekly meetings as they grew into adulthood. These young adults from across the Hucknall community now come together at a community centre to interact, relax, and socialise with each other.
Since its inception, members of Hucknall Rotary Club have supported the Thursday Club either with funds, attendance or supporting activities and events.

To celebrate the start of the Festive season Hucknall holds a Christmas Festival. The event is supported by Hucknall Rotary in partnership with Ashfield District Council.
