Kenya Project 2023
Taunton teenager Sam Stroud shared his moving experience as part of a recent scout trip to Kenya to help in three schools located 8 hours north of capital Nairobi. Taunton Rotary contributed to his innovative fund-raising for the trip which included money to be offered to the schools and provide basic foodstuff as well as educational materials.
Sam clearly enjoyed interacting with the cheerful local children, commenting on how grateful they were to have them visit. The project was started pre-Covid, and he looks forward to being able to return in the future and see how things progress.
