Young Musician 2024

The District 1200 Final took place at Cheddar on 3 March, with some young performers of excellent skill. The Winners (see photo) were Ella Phippen (Vocalist) (on right in photo) and Betsy Chow (Instrumentalist – a cellist) who will go forward to the Regional Cluster Final in Cardiff on 24 March. Our Club has a great track record in the competition and we are delighted to report that Betsy is representing us in 2024, so we wish her well for the next round in Cardiff.

Stop Press: The Regional Final of Rotary Young Musician was held at Howells School in Cardiff on Sunday 24 March. Both entrants from our District did well ( see picture attached of our Taunton entrant Betsy Chow, cellist) but the vocalist winner was from West Wales and the instrumentalist winner was from South Devon. Both were worthy winners and we wish them success in the National Final on 21 April.
