Marketing, Public Relations and Communications Committee.
"In the promotion of understanding, it is important to reach large numbers - non-Rotarians as well as Rotarians - and you cannot reach large numbers privately." Paul Harris, founder of Rotary
While this title is accurate, it does not trip easily off the tongue and therefore we will continue to use the more familiar title. The primary aim for the Communications Committee in any year is to support the Clubs in the District in their internal and external communication. We aim to do this by being responsive to what clubs need and it is therefore important that we talk with clubs and find out where we can help.
We fulfil our remit by producing the District Magazine, the District Website, presentations and technical support for the District Conference and support and advice on Marketing and Public Relations.
We work closely with the District Project Resource Group, to further the aim of 'joined up Rotary' and faciltate both district and club projects. We also work closely with the Training Committee, and can provide training related to electronic communications, websites and presentation material such as leaflets, posters or PowerPoint presentations.
