Welcome to Rotary District 1170
District 1170 covers the county of Devon, excluding the Plymouth area. We have 50 clubs with over 1600 Rotarians (Click the map to see a local Rotary club near you). Rotary is a worldwide organisation of over 1.2 million members.
Rotary gives you the opportunity to give something back, give hope to communities and make lives worthwhile and fulfilled. Rotarians have fun and make new friends at the same time. Members are all in agreement that Rotary opens doors to a better world.

Youth Competitions
District 1170 is doing well this year. Well done to all the clubs who have given their full support:
- Holsworthy Community College have won through to RIBI Youth Speaks Senior Finals in Wrexham on 28th April. The team - Jack Shepherd, Christian Lowe and Zak Smart won the Regional Final last Saturday against stiff opposition. Their topic was "Cheque Book Football".
- Joshua Leverett has won the RIBI Intermediate Young Photographer, which will be presented at the RIBI Conference in Bournemouth.
- Zoe Sing is in the RIBI Young Chef Final for the second year running (having come second last year) at Denman College.
- And finally, we have a flautist from Ilfracombe in the Regional Young Musician Final.
