Young boxers

Off the Hook/York Boxing Club is a community charity helping disadvantaged young people.

©They are encouraged to develop life skills and integrate with the wider community through a wide range of learning  opportunities at their premises in Layerthorpe.

Rotary Club of York President Graham Wilford said:-

" We are pleased to support the team of committed and dedicated people who  give so much of their skills and time to help youngsters who, for a wide variety of reasons, haven't had a good start. I have been very impressed with the range of activities that are available in addition to boxing and astonished at the number of youngsters who make use of the  services  regularly provided by this York Charity"

YBC Funding Manager& Trustee Sian Heeley-Hill said:-

" We appreciate the contribution from the Rotary Club which will be used to help us expand the facilities. Our programmes emphasise the importance of integrating with the wider community and I hope that we will be able to build on this new link with Rotary to help develop a higher profile for the work we do for disadvantaged youngsters in York"
