Home | Group Study Exchange 2010-11 | Our Team for Brazil
The Group Study Exchange (GSE) Program of the Rotary Foundation is always one of the highlights of any Rotary year. It provides a unique opportunity for young professionals to enhance their careers, and foster international understanding and awareness through an exchange that involves meeting professional peers in another country and sharing information about their own country while experiencing the customs, vocations and lifestyle of another. I am delighted that we continue to have involvement with the Program that District 1240 has supported since 1973.
The District 1240 GSE Committee has selected an excellent team for the 2011 exchange with District 4430 (São Paulo, Brazil). I am pleased to announce that Team Leader Mike Kerr (Colchester Trinity) will be leading our team of young professionals to Brazil this summer - Sarah Wyatt, Laura Simkins, Janet West and Latéfa Mansarit. The team is also supported by Deputy Team Leader David Thompson (Chelmsford Mildmay). Having met them I know they will be admirable representatives of our District.
