Rotary International District 1290

For over 25 years Rotary has been at the heart of the fight to rid the world of the crippling disease of Polio. We are now This Close to the eradication of polio from the planet.  Rotary operates a major worldwide  programme to promote Peace and Reconciliation and sponsors Peace Scholars  to study at leading universities. Another scheme operated by Rotary is Group Study Exchange where groups of young professionals are given the opportunity to visit other countries. In District 1290 we operate a number Projects that have in part been funded by the Rotary Foundation. And find out more about Paul Harris who founded Rotary International in 1905.
