Rotarians projects and events that take place in their local communities

Rotarians in District 1270 are involved in a variety of projects all over the District supporting other charities or fund raising

Events include Lincoln's Sausage Festival and Christmas Fair; Lincolnshire Show; Disability Games, The Rotary Youth Centre in East Hull, Humber Bridge Half Marathon, Tree Festival,Musical concerts,Jazz in the Park in Sheffield - the list is endless.

Many clubs are involved in schools projects - environmental, literacy, global citizenship programmes as well as involving the youngsters in Rotary competitions and events such as Castleton Camp, Young Chef, Youth Speaks, and Kids Out.  One of the biggest projects involving many Rotarians was the response to the floods of 2007 - over  750,000 Flood Relief Support funds were given to numerous community projects in D1270.
