Membership Development
Our Rotary area or district needs to offer volunteering opportunities for members of our local organisations, and members of the public through Rotary. These opportunities are through the local Rotary Groups, who are diverse groups serving their communities.
There is no substitute for EVERY MEMBER IS RESPONSIBLE to GET NEW MEMBERS BY ASKING SOMEONE TO JOIN.
We need to offer fun, friendship and all member involvement in activities and projects right from introducing someone to your Group. Now you may have noticed I am not using the word club. I propose this is an out-dated term which puts people off, and reinforces a perceived elitism, which Rotary is not.
