Rotary International District 1230
Home | Rotaract

Rotaract members are fun, enthusiastic and active young men and women aged 18 to 30. Membership provides the opportunity to meet new people, expand social life, try new activities, and make a difference in the local community. Clubs are either community or university based and are sponsored by a local Rotary club, making them key members of the Rotary family.
There are two Rotaract clubs in District 1230
As one of Rotary's most significant and fastest-growing programmes, with more than 7,000 clubs in about 163 countries and geographical areas, Rotaract has become a worldwide phenomenon. As well as enjoying many social activities, Rotaractors get a chance to make a real difference to people's lives. All Rotaract efforts begin at the local, grassroots level, with members addressing their communities' physical and social needs while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service. Rotaractors also get the chance to:
- Develop leadership and professional skills
- Assist in organising Interact clubs or mentor Interactors
- Take part in Rotary Youth Leadership Awards
- Become Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholars
- Become Group Study Exchange team members
- Join their local Rotary club
