Results of the Rotary Youth Speaks 2017-18 District Final

Congratulation to all 22 teams, sponsored by 18 rotary clubs throughout Cumbria and Lancashire, that made it through their local heats to compete at this year’s district final. The teams were all worthy winners. They impressed the audience with confidence, clarity of speech through a variety of interesting well-rehearsed topics. What a fantastic day!!

The event was held at Windermere School on Saturday 3rd February and many teachers attending have since complimented the organisation of the event, the standard of judging and the excellence of the teams – all achieved an extremely high standard.

Results of the Rotary Youth Speaks 2017-18 Regional Final

The Regional Final of youth speaks was held on Sunday 18th March at Forest Hills Hotel, Frodsham. A superb day that was well organised by the RC of Frodsham & Helsby.

Huge congratulations to all the teams from our district who took part in this year’s regional final, Ripley St Thomas CE Academy, Stonyhurst College, The Lakes School and St Michael's CE High School. Sadly only one team from each category can move forward into the National Final. St Michael’s triumphed on the day in the senior category.

The winning teams from the Intermediate & Senior categories will now move forward to represent our Region in the Natiional Final. This is being held at Exmouth Community College, Green Close, Exmouth EX8 3PZ on Saturday 12th May.
