What is Disaster Response?

The Disaster Response team was introduced to help Club’s in District to organise fundraising and to give them the tools and knowledge to respond to natural disasters quickly with funding and resources.

We have at our disposal Shelterbox displays available around the District, Aqua Box display and a Lifebox display located centrally in York, we can also organise literature and promotional material for your events.

Shelterbox can also provide speakers for Club or outside events.

If and when a big disaster occurs, whether it be at home or abroad we can help and give advice on fund raising events, who to contact and where best funds are needed. As you know natural disaster are happening all the time, Shelterbox now have holding centres all over the World in known problem areas, such as the flood areas of Pakistan, earthquake centres and those parts of the World  vulnerable to hurricanes and adverse weather conditions so they always require funding to top up their store of boxes.

This also applies to all the schemes available as they all require reserves to respond to the big disaster.

Should you need advice or help please contact me on stephen@ellis9831.fsnet.co.uk or call me on 01347 824362.
