Take a moment to close your eyes and remember the wonderful days out you enjoyed in your childhood. What was the best one? Maybe it was a trip to the seaside, a visit to a theme park or maybe a ride on a steam train? Now think about how that day out made you feel then and the happiness that the memory gives you now. That's exactly what KidsOut gives to nearly 30,000 disadvantaged children and young people every year.

Here in District 1250 we have, for many years, been organising a trip to Chessington World of Adventures. This means arranging entry (at an advantageous price), the supply of a packed lunch (where required) and also the supply of "KidsOut" T-shirts and baseball caps (again, as required).

Thus, Clubs have only to identify a suitable beneficiary, e.g. school with children who are disadvantaged in some way, and offer to arrange AND FUND the day out. Together with the school, carers, etc., they decide numbers, requirements, etc., and pass them to our organisor (details below) who collates all orders and makes the necessary arrangements.

It should be stressed that participating schools, etc., retain responsibility for their children AT ALL TIMES and thus there should be no problems in respect of Child Protection legislation. KidsOut is for any child of school age who is disabled or deprived.
