INTERNATIONAL RYLA

 

  

After a break of three years – the last International RYLA was held in Montreal, Canada in 2010 – Rotary International have  indicated that the International RYLA programme is scheduled to take place once again, in advance of the 2014 Rotary International Convention in Sydney.

Updates will be made available during the course of the 2013 – 2014 Rotary year.  We will also advise on our decision to fund a past RYLA participant to attend this unique International opportunity. 

Meanwhile, there will be a RYLA pre-convention meeting in Lisbon at the 2013 Rotary International Convention.  Rotarians from our District, who may be attending the Convention, will have the opportunity to learn about the RYLA programme, share experiences and perhaps bring back to District 1100 ideas to further enhance, develop and expand our own RYLA course.

Clubs will know that D1100 have supported the International RYLA in Montreal, Canada and in Birmingham. The three International RYLA participants we sponsored in 2009 and 2010 have shown us that the experience of participating in a gathering  of up to 150 young adults from around the world, was for them a real life changing experience.
