Club President's Handover

Wed, Jul 3rd 2013 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

The new presdent of the Rotary Club of Thame, Jeannette Matelot Green, took over from Bob Livings.

Bob Livings's Rotary year has been a very successful one. Under his presidency, the club has launched two new major annual fundraising events: Rotary Thame Swimathon and Rotary Thame Art Show.

The club has also continued to organise events for the benefit of the local community:

- Senior Citizens Party in partnership with the Inner Wheel Club of Thame and Thame Town Council in December 2012

- Stroke Awareness Day in April 2013

- Supporting Haddenham Rotary's Horse event in May 2013

- Collection on unwanted tools in May 2013.

Jeannette Matelot Green was welcomed as the new president of Rotary Club of Thame on 3rd July at the Spread Eagle Hotel. Jeannette has been a Rotarian for almost four years and her commitment to the club has earned the respect of fellow members who were only too pleased to vote her in as their new president in the 2013-2014 Rotary year.
