DISTRICT 1140 BADMINTON RULES

TO PLAY BEST OF THREE GAMES:  Team that wins by two games wins the match.

POINTS PLAYED TO:  Team to first reach to 21 points wins the game.

PREFERENCE OF SHUTTLECOCK USE:  Feathered shuttlecock, will always receive priority over plastic; hence, if any one team desires to play using the feathered version, then the other team has to succumb.

SERVING:  The server and receiver, stand in the diagonally opposite service courts, always right hand.  

RALLY:  A rally is won when a shuttle is hit over the net and onto the floor of the opponent's court.
A rally is lost, if shuttle is hit into the net, or over the net but outside of the opponent's court. Also, if shuttle touches player's clothing or body, or if it is hit before it crosses over the net.
