We're for communities. Kelso Rotary wristbands at the Border Union Show

Members of The Rotary Club of Kelso, teamed up with the Clubs of Duns, Melrose, Galashiels and Selkirk, had the opportunity to reaise Rotary’s profile in the Community, and to provide a service from which the participating families could benefit.

This took place on both Friday 27th and Saturday 28th July 2012 at the Border Union Showground, in Springwood Park, Kelso.

A band of volunteers from Border Rotary Clubs manned two marquees at the main entrances to the Show, providing security wristbands to over 900 children over the two days.

Working in shifts,  the service was available from 09.00 am until the close of the pay booths at the end of the day.

Tranent Rotary also issued wristbands at the Air Show at the National Museum of Flight in East Fortune.

This project is one of many demonstrating that Rotary is for communities and works closely with many other organisations.
