David Crosweller is Chief Executive of Wherever the Need, the charity he co-founded in 1996. Wherever the Need focuses on the alleviation of poverty through improving health and creating livelihoods, in ways that are locally sustainable and environmentally friendly.

The biggest cause of poverty is ill health, and the biggest cause of ill health is a lack of sanitation. Without sanitation, drinking water becomes polluted spreading illness and disease. Those affected are among the most vulnerable in the world
