Five Capitals Breakfast
An event held simultaneously in each of the Capital Cities across RIBI to mark International Women's Day
To mark International Women's Day and the Edinburgh celebration of Women in Rotary, a celebratory breakfast was held at Braid Hills Hotel in Edinburgh. This was one of the 5 Capitals events held in the Rotary GB&I area on 8 March and a first for Rotary in these islands.
Two of the highest quality speakers, Audrey Park and Shonaig MacPherson, gave a wonderful perspective of what women can achieve and what specific messages enabled them to do it. All delivered with a sense of humour and memorable experiences. Willie Maltman and District Governor Elect Kate Keter delivered superb votes of thanks. Kate was inspiring and demonstrated what we can look forward to. Rotary GB&I and District 1020 have issued videos of the events.
Plans are already underway to make this an annual event across Rotary GB&I.
