Over 50 of us gathered at the Scores Hotel on Sunday, April 6, 2014 for our Annual Guest Lunch.
Some of our members had invited friends as guests and we also had 11 very special guests whose deceased husbands used to be active members of the Club.
This event goes back at least 20 years when it had the title of Ladies Night and was a formal black tie occasion. Over the last few years, it moved to being a Sunday Lunch with some entertainment added on. There is no doubt at all that our special guests fully appreciate the invitation that they receive and love mixing with our Club Members many of whom they know well.
The entertainment was just perfect today lasting no more than 25 minutes and the two youngsters from Madras (Ellenor Waddell and Caitlin Smith) were excellent. It was great to have their mothers with them and they all seemed to have enjoyed their lunch and all the friendly chat that went it.
