BE A GIFT TO CRUMLIN
The purpose of this project
is to fund the refurbishment of the 48 bedrooms In the Parents Accommodation
Unit (PAU,) in Our Ladies Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.
This unit relies on
charitable donations and until the intervention of Rotary the refurbishment
work could not have been undertaken place.
Clubs sponsored rooms and
helped at volunteer days to refurbish the rooms.
The work has now been
completed and the project was officially opened by DG Gerry on 24th
June assisted by PDG Declan Tyner.
Rotarian Daniel O Reilly (Monaghan)
is to be commended for initiating this worthwhile project and all the Clubs who
made contributions can be justifiably proud.
JUST 1 LIFE
The Young Driver Awareness
Programme – Just 1 Life continues to attract interest from clubs throughout the
country. Naas & Newbridge Rotary
Clubs have joined together to launch the programme in Kildare.
Wexford Rotary Club is available to advise
and assist any club who wishes to participate in this
ROTARY TREE OF REMEMBRANCE.
As we get closer to Christmas
many clubs will embarked on their annual Tree of Remembrance campaign.
The clubs involved deserve
particular praise for a number of reasons:
- It gives people a way to
remember loved ones who they miss at Christmas in a very practical way.
- It contributes to local charities.
- Last but not least it raises the profile of
Rotary in the local community.
