Bicester Big Lunch

Sun, Jun 1st 2014 at 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Big Lunch is a nationwide community event, originated in 2012 by the Eden Project, Cornwall. Bicester's Big Lunch is one of the largest events in the country. Bicester Rotary club is delighted to be part of the fun.

Bicester Big Lunch

Bicester's first Big Lunch was held in 2012 as one the the Queen's Jubilee celebrations, organised by representatives from the local community. Despite extremely wet conditions, hundreds of Bicester families flocked to Bicester Avenue and had such a fantastic time it has now become an established date in the Bicester calendar.

The weather in 2013 was much kinder and hundreds sat down to enjoy a shared meal and great entertainment in bright sunshine in Sheep Street.

This year, the organisers were rewarded with more good weather and a record number of residents again enjoyed the neighbourly camaraderie and great entertainment for all the family. Bicester Rotary Club were delighted to be part of it,  bringing a display of what we do and providing some End Polio Now activities in Crown Walk. We met lots of new friends and many more who we knew dropped in to say hello! Download posters below.
