Through an initiative of Borderland Club, 6 pupils from Oswestry School and Adcote School (from an entry of 30 students!) were entered into the District Rotary GB&I Young Writer Competition 2013-14 under the umbrella of both Oswestry Clubs.

A record 28 entries for the District competition included the Intermediate District winner Amy Younger from Oswestry School, the subject of their essays being " A day that changed my life".  The District winners went forward to the Rotary GB&I national competition but were not successful this year.

As the Oswestry School students were notionally representing our Club, Rtn Cliff Wood, from Borderland, presented the Oswestry School students with their certificates on our behalf at their final assembly today.
