Three Debates between VIth Form Students on various Peace related topics (Hills Rd, Stephen Perse, The Leys, Comberton, Parkside, Impington students). Open to ALL. 4pm at the Leys School New Main Hall, Cambridge CB2 7AD.


Congratulations to our Winners - the Comberton Village College Sixth Form Team - and our Runners-Up - The Leys School Sixth Form Team !!  Everyone received certificates and our prizes were donated from our kind Sponsors - Heffers Book Shop, Cambridge.

This popular event was open to the public and rotarians free of charge.

4pm - 7.30pm.  Parking on-site.  Light Refreshments available.

Six local colleges have taken up the Rotary challenge to try out their skills at this annual opportunity for public debate.

The three Judges include Jen Little, Peace Scholar Philip Ikita and Rotary Scholar Vin.

The 3 topics will be hotly and eloquently explored by teams of 3 :

1     This house believes the riots in London of 2012 could never happen in Cambridge

         To Propose - Hills Road  6th Form College  and to Oppose - Stephen Perse School

2  It is 100 years since the beginning of the war to end all wars. 

        This house believes that, whilst we may remember, we have learned little.

        This house believes that it could not happen now.

There will be an opportunity for members of the audience to contribute to the discussion and ask questions.
