District Event

The Commonwealth Games excitement has come to an end, the summer break will soon be over and we can again focus our minds on club activities and projects planned for this Rotary year.

At the top of the agenda should be plans to grow our clubs and indeed form new groups or clubs so that as many people as possible have the opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie, experience the feeling of self worth gained from helping others and network with over a million similarly minded people throughout the whole world.

To set you on your way we invite you to attend the Grow Rotary Membership Seminar at the Glynnhill Hotel, 169 Paisley Road, Renfrew PA4 8XB on Sunday 7th September 2014 commencing at 2pm
.

This invitation has gone out to the President, President Elect and Membership Convenor as the most likely motivators in the club for this project however if you are unable to attend or wish to nominate someone else please pass the invitation to them now.

There will be:-

  • presentations on how we present ourselves to the general public
  • discussions  on attracting new members of all ages including the different types of  membership that could be offered - corporate, associate, family
  • ideas and help to form new groups attached to your club which may meet at a different time or who conduct their activities in a different manner
  • guidance for those clubs interested in reviewing the way they operate
  • Suggestions for retaining our existing members.

To ensure we lay on enough chairs -  plus teas, coffees and biscuits - please confirm your intention to attend as soon as possible, but by Friday 5th September at the latest.
