Nov 2014 Rotary National Young Chef Club Competition 2014-2015

This annual national competition starts at club level. Students from 3 colleges took part this year. Venue - Cottenham Village College.


This years competition was hard fought. Six delicious menus with well thought out and attractive table settings were created on the day.   The Judges were delighted with the standard on show and found it very hard to seperate out the Winner.

Congratulations to our Winner this year - Jake Oldham - 12 years old (Cottenham Village College).

and our Runner-Up - Kimberley Sisneros (Comberton Village College).

On Monday 26th January 2015 Jake was presented with his winners certificate, by President Alan Franklin,  in front of the whole school and proudly watched by his teacher Luis Cossio with organisers Rtn Brian and Pauline Beales

Our entries were from Cottenham (last years winners too), Comberton and Impington Village Colleges.

Well done to all our competitors including -

Muhammad Sulayman Bhatti, Thomas Wheeler, Amber Drya & Rhys Gentle.

Jake will go on to the District (14th Feb 2015), then if successful to the Regional (14th March 2015 D1260) and National Finals.
