CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES 2014

Club life is always fun at Christmas. PE Bernard organised the Senior Citizens' Concert Party with entertainment from Houghton's Youth Brass Band. Club members organised and served the teas before the band gets the mood going and the flags waving.

Days later we were out again helping Santa to tour the streets of Great Lumley. The Burnmoor Scouts helped us collect for charities and we shared the total with them. This event was originally established by IPP Graham but this year he was unwell so we all gathered at his house to wish him and Carol a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

The last Club meeting before Christmas was the Christmas Dinner at Beamish Hall Hotel. After gathering in the bar the meal started with a table quiz arranged by PP Michael. The Washington Brass Band led the singing and a great traditional night was had by all.
