Mystery Weekend Treasure Hunt

Rotary Club of Birstall Luddites
MYSTERY WEEKEND 2015.
On Saturday 18th April the club held its annual Mystery Weekend.
Luddites met organisers Nigel and Margaret starting from 09.00 and then at intervals at the A1/M62 Services at Ferrybridge to be given their treasure hunt directions and quiz questions.
The treasure hunts first stop was in Market Weighton looking for clues such as who was the tallest man. We then proceeded to Beverly and enjoyed the prosperous town and market and having lunch.
As the day went on we reached our Hotel in Filey The White Lodge.
In most cases it was a good excuse to relax and start with a tipple or two.
We gathered for diner at 7.30 and all agreed the meal was one of the best that mystery weekend venues had enjoyed.
After our meal we retired to the lounge where Nigel tested Luddites intelligence again with a Geography quiz. This led to the days treasure hunt results.
The David Mullins trophy went to hot favorites Steve, Maggie, Ian and Clare's Team with a score of 106, second place to Jeremy, Carol,Paul and Kathryn with 101..
A two person team award went to John and Rachel who scored 103 and the booby prize was awarded to Ian and Joanna, although Ian and Joanna got top marks in the late
Geography Quiz.
After breakfast Luddites went their different ways.
Big thanks to Nigel and Margaret for organising the weekend.
(If you have photos of your Saturday or Sunday please send them to me and I will add them to the slide show, thanks JEFF)

Birstall Luddites gather after an enjoyable Mystery Weekend.
