Memory Walk 2015

Report on the outcome of our first sponsored walk in conjunction with Alzheimers Society

The club organised a sponsored walk which took place on September 27th.

The 3 mile walk started from Bishop Auckland Market Place and went over the viaduct, along the old railway line and back along Weardale Way, finishing with the stiff ascent of Newton Cap Bank!! The weather was absolutely perfect making it a most enjoyable event and we received a lot of positive feedback.

Through sponsorships and donations we raised in excess of £1350 for the Alzheimer’s Society.

We would like to thank all who supported us and also St John Ambulance for their first aid provision, which thankfully was not needed.

As the walk was such a success we hope to repeat the event next year.
