Providing Emergency Relief Aid

85 Million People Homeless

Right now, around 85 million people around the world have been made homeless by natural disaster and conflict.

By providing emergency shelter and tools for families robbed of their homes by disaster, Shelterbox is transforming despair into hope.

The Shelterbox Trust

Clubs in our District are proud supporters of ShelterBox Trust - a UK registered charity and a global Rotary Club project.

Since 2000, Shelterbox has responded to earthquakes, floods, volcanoes, tsunamis, hurricanes, landslides, typhoons and conflict, delivering emergency humanitarian aid to families in need on every continent.

The Shelterbox

Each ShelterBox normally holds a 10-person tent and a range of other equipment such as thermal blankets, insulated ground sheets, a multi-fuel stove, cooking pans and a basic tool kit.

What Does a Shelterbox Cost?

A Shelterbox costs £590, but every donation will allow ShelterBox to deliver emergency shelter and other lifesaving equipment to a family who have lost everything following a disaster.
