Rotary District 1145 Sports
MATCHING SPORTS GRANTS

Applications for matching grants of up to £250 are invited from any Rotary Club within District 1145 that wishes to support a young sportsperson or youth sports group within their local area.

Grants are available to both disabled and able-bodied individuals and groups. Ideally, candidates for grants should be 18 years of age or younger and should already be demonstrating above average prowess/potential within their sport at a regional if not national or international level.

Ideally, any grants given should be used to fund specialist equipment or kit, rather than ongoing training and/or travel expenses, although the latter will be considered in certain circumstances eg. travel to international competitions.

The District 1145 Sports Fund will match club donations up to a maximum of £250 and preference will be given to those clubs who support the District 1145 sports competitions, as it is, of course, their money that is actually funding the matching grants programme.

Please note that each application will be considered on its individual merit, but it is not possible to guarantee to match every application – sorry.

For further information or to apply for a matching grant, please contact Simon Edmands, Rotary District 1145 Sports Officer, on 07753 821964 or simon.edmands@ukipme.com
