Take on the challenge and enjoy the famous views from the Thames, and walk over some of London"™s most iconic and famous bridges.
The Spinal Injuries Association wishes to let you know that they are once again running Going the Distance London Bridges Walk on Sunday 18 September 2016.
Get together with friends, family and colleagues and support Spinal Injuries Association by taking part in Going the Distance – London Bridges Walk.
Take on the challenge and enjoy the famous views from the Thames, and walk over some of London’s most iconic and famous bridges. The eight mile route will start at the Victoria Embankment Gardens and is very accessible! We will have a shorter 4 mile route designed for families to tackle as a team.
Everyone is welcome to take part and Registration is £10 per adult, £5.00 per child, £5.00 per SIA Member and £25.00 per family entry.
Although we are not asking for a minimum sponsorship we ask that you try and raise as much as you can to support SIA's vital services. If you can raise £40.00 this could go towards providing a family member one hour of professional Telephone Counselling to help them cope with the devastating impact that SCI has on families.
Every year in the UK over 1,000 people experience a spinal cord injury and there are an estimated 40,000 spinal cord injured people in the UK alone.
If you feel unable to take part but would still like to be involved – why not volunteer for us on the day by helping us to marshall the route. If you are interested please email my colleague Amanda Giles firstname.lastname@example.org who will provide more information.
If you would like to register you can either fill out the attached registration form or fill out our online registration by going to https://www.eventbrite.com/e/going-the-distance-16-london-bridges-walk-tickets-18713902787
Look forward to welcoming you in September.
