Lunchtime Meeting - 12.45pm - Speaker Rev Harry Edwards of Mulberry Alpacas

Mon, May 15th 2017 at 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Robin's speaker today will be the Rev. Harry Edwards of Mulberry Alpacas who will talk to us about Alpaca Farming. Harry is also Spiritual Care Coordinator/Counsellor of Severn Hospice.

Today Harry Edwards will give a talk about his herd of alpacas, a fascinating and versatile animal which provides the famous (and costly) Alpaca yarn which is used for making all sorts of luxurious knitted, felted and crocheted garments, as well as an extravagant filling for duvets and pillows.

Harry’s Mulberry Alpaca Farm is situated at Higher Penley where they work with the fleece from their own herd to produce yarn and knitwear. They also sell alpaca duvets and pillows, hats, scarves, wristwarmers, neck warmers, socks, tea and cafetiere cosies and mattress toppers.

If that was not enough they also run courses and sell livestock - quality alpacas from their own herd.
