Bowness Bay Blues has built a reputation as 'a flagship for the very best of British blues' (Rosy Greer, Lancashire Blues Archive and Blues in the Northwest). It gets better each year, and the organisers are convinced that 2017, which will be the 6th edition of this festival, will be the best yet.

The festival will again feature a wide range of top-class music, from acoustic to Chicago-style blues, from roots, soul and funk to electric blues-rock. The Friday highlights will be local band from Preston, The Stumble, who are a 6 piece Chicago-style blues band featuring vocalist Paul Melville (The Voice) and the Australian band Geoff Achison and the UK Souldiggers who are a ripping band with an infectious sound combining elements of blues, funk and soul with a touch of jazz. The Saturday headliner will be LaVendore Rogue, a roots and rock ‘n roll band. and the festival will finish on Sunday with The Revolutionaries, with their high-energy sound of blues and rock.

Many other bands will be performing including Ash Wilson Band; Benjamin Bassford; Catfish; Dean Newton; Robin Bibi Band; Scarlett; Samantha Holden Band; Troubadour; Setting Suns; Elderly Brothers; Evie Plumb; South Quay and Matt Woosey.
