From Housewife to Olympic Gold Medallist

Rhona Martin MBE is an Olympic Gold Medallist former curler from Ayrshire in Scotland now turned BBC broadcaster, she is the current GB and Scottish head curling coach. Rhona famously captained the team at Salt Lake City and threw the 'stone of destiny' which decided the gold. Rhona carried the London 2012 Olympic torch; she was a competitive Curler for over 20 years at Scottish and GB level and retired in 2007.


Rhona's chequered career gives her a unique insight into the world of professional sport and she remains an ambassador and role model to young people.
