Mid Herts Youth Speaks Competitions

Clubs in the Mid Herts area support the Youth Speaks Competition

Four Intermediate teams and ten Senior teams from Bishop's Hatfield Girls' School, Chancellor's School and Dame Alice Owen's School competed on Thursday 2nd November at Dame Alice Owen's School.  A brilliant evening with all the excellent presentations receiving loud applause from the audience. This gave the judges a really hard task to select the teams to progress to the District semi-finals, but decisions were made. Intermediate team going forward to the semi-finals was from Dame Alice Owen's School, Kasra Daemi, Noah Burrowes and Will McGeady who's topic was Is Rugby to violent?

Senior teams going forward to the District semi-finals are Tara Daemi, Dorothy Burrowes and Thalia Witherford who's topic was Can we ever win the fight against modern slavery in the UK?, Hannah Chen, Emilia McGeady and Claudia Schmidt who's topic was The Importance of Creativity both from Dame Alice Owen's School and Zoe Pymont, Isabelle Cardy and Charley Wren who's topic was Do men need feminism?
