Big smiles for Letchworth Howard president-elect

There was a beaming smile on the face of Tony Silver (left) at Letchworth Howard Rotary Club’s last meeting of January when he was formally inducted as vice-president and president-elect

He will take over from David Glanville (right) at the end of the year.

This will be Tony’s second stint as Letchworth Howard president. He previously wore the chain of office in 2002 – the year he also competed in the London Marathon. But, he says, he has no plans to repeat that as well.

Tony, a chartered quantity surveyor, has been a Letchworth Howard member since 1992.

There is a family tie to his new role; his vice-president and planned successor as president will be his wife, Angela, who is also a club stalwart.
